Complete your busbar installation with supports, insulators and bakelite plate from the same supplier as your copper. Supports and insulators are moulded from glass-fibre-reinforced polyester; bakelite plate is an electrical-grade paper phenolic laminate.
Material characteristics
- Glass-fibre-reinforced SMC/DMC: high dielectric strength, self-extinguishing
- Insulators rated 440 V nominal, 130 °C working temperature
- Bakelite: strong, easy to machine and punch; for low-tension use in dry conditions

Material: glass-fibre-reinforced unsaturated polyester (DMC). Insert: brass or mild steel, zinc passivated. Working temperature 130 °C; nominal working voltage 440 V. Maximum busbar width = top diameter of support + 10 mm.
